Attorney Bar Number Identifiers
Reply Quote
In ECF 4.0, section 3.3.1.7 Filer and Party Identifiers, the very last sentence states: “The attorney elements for a self-represented litigant SHOULD NOT include a bar number.”

State Supreme Courts typically handle attorney discipline cases. Very often in these types of matters, the respondent attorney (i.e. the attorney up for discipline, such as disbarment) is Pro Se (i.e. self represented). So even though the attorney is the party in these types of matters, the court will want the attorney’s bar number included in the efiling communication.

How should this be done so as not to violate the constraint in section 3.3.1.7? Or is this constraint ill founded?

You could create a new area on your worksheet or just a new worksheet to set up source data for your graph. I will assume that your dataset is on Sheet1 and that we are setting up a new worksheet for the source data for the graph.
